BGMI Ban in India: Battlegrounds Mobile India regularly known as BGMI, was restricted in India on 28th July 2022. The game has been pulled from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store following the boycott by the Indian government under Section 69A of the IT Act. A report by Reuters recommended that the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) gave the request to boycott Battlegrounds Mobile India under Section 69 (A) of the IT Act, 2000.
